Liquid Herbal Extracts - Available at herbal health product centers, pharmacy departments at stores such as Shoppers, Pharmasave, Wallgreens, Wall Mart and whole foods supply stores. Antiviral herbal extracts that would help treat or prevent swine flu virus are as follows: Oregano Oil, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Baptista, Olive extract, Barberry, Bayberry, Elderberry, Echinacea (better effect when in combination with other immune boosting herbal extracts such as golden seal), Pau de Arco, Spilanthes, Cats Claw & Lomatium.

How Does MY Family treat the flu naturally?
Over the years, we have developed an arsenal of herbal, botanical, homeopathic and natural treatments for flu & cold and infection from surgery, disease or injury. As the years have gone by, the products have changed as new, better products were discovered. At THIS point in our natural remedy history, our family uses the following products, treatments and remedies. They have proven to be effective in every case we have used them, and often when there is one family member who does not use these anti flu treatments, they get TOTALLY ILL! (1) Grapefruit Seed Extract GSE -This concentrate of grapefruit seeds is a powerful anti viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungus and anti- influenza compound. (2) Wheat Grass Juice - this is the freshly extracted green juice from wheat plant seedling. It tastes like the lawn and is better mixed with some nice fruit juice or at least chased with some nice tasting drink. The juice of the young wheat plants is very anti-oxidant rich and has incredible immune boosting properties. Two - three shots (1 ounce) of wheat grass juice/day until symptoms clear. This product must be used immediately after it has been extracted from the plantlets, so there are wheat grass or raw bars opening up all over the world, where customers can sit, cafe style, and have their shot of wheat grass with their choice of mixers & chasers, in the company of other 'health enlightened people'. This is a rather costly way to get your grass juice, especially for a family. We ended up just buying our own wheat grass juicer and growing the trays of wheat plantlets ourselves. You can buy a big sack of organic wheat seeds at the health food store and just keep starting another tray of seeds by soaking them for 12 hours and then spreading them onto the surface of some sterililized soil. It takes about 2 weeks for the seeds to reach the 5 inch height, at which time you get your scissors and just cut a handful of grass blades, whenever you are ready to extract a shot of wheat grass juice. The wheat grass juicer is a specialized grinder that is designed specifically for the purpose of squeezing potent, emerald green nectar of wheat from the blades of wheat grass plantlets. They cost about $200.00 US.

(3) Oregano Oil (Botanical Name: Origanum vulgare) -This is a very spicy oil, extracted from the seeds & flowers of the Italian & Greek culinary herb, oregano. It contains more than 50 anti-infection compounds which defend againsts flu, common colds, diarrhea, bronchitis, food borne pathogens and viral infections.
It is BURNING spicy, so, mix it with a little warm water before taking and NEVER take oregano oil on an empty stomach as it will cause vomiting and a few hours of nausea.
