Perhaps you have fallen victim to the 'What can one person do anyway?' syndrome. There are some common myths that pervade our thinking about going green:
Organic clothing, food and other natural products are more expensive. - NOT TRUE!
I shop all the time for my large family and these days, when I shop at the big chain grocery stores, I compare the prices of non organic food products with organic food products; cereals, oils, packaged foods, dairy products meat, chicken, eggs, grains, vegies & fruit.The results are often quite surprising. Sometimes it is cheaper for the organic item. Often it the same price and sometimes the organic product is just a little more. All in all, it IS affordable to buy organic food!
Organic products are made and sold by radical,tree hugging anti establishment companies - SO NOT TRUE!
Many thousands of mainstream and classic companies are on board and going green full out already. eg. Levis, Stella McCartney, Nike, Patagonia and American Apparel. If you are still buying non organic stuff because you think you have no access to green alternative products then you are behind the times.
Organic Products are not plentiful in supply and therefore are hard to find - AGAIN NO TRUTH IN THAT
Organic products are readily available to consumers with no obstacle to finding or purchasing them Google searches for organic or green products of every description will net millions of results. The world wide web and search engines like Google & Yahoo have made the green revolution explode in the last 5 years. You can find & buy anything in a natural, organic or non toxic version from the comfort of your home computer. Even eBay has gone green with its' new 'World of Good' partner stores!

When You Are Ready To Go Green
... Just Change How You Shop
It really is as easy as that. Just alter your shopping choices; instead of buying the usual stuff for yourself, your family, your pets & your home & garden; Choose instead any of the millions of natural, organic, non toxic, eco-friendly products that are now readily available in stores, in your community and on-line.
You do not need to study all the issues or be a radical eco protester (great if you are though) to be a huge participant in the GREENING of the future of Mother Earth. All though there is still a great deal of effort still to be done at the political, manufacturing & economic level of environmentalism, from the standpoint of us, the consumers, the way ahead has already been paved. New, ecologically smarter choices can now be made at the purchasing level, without any extra expense or heroic effort. This is where and how we exercise our power to make change go forward to secure all of our futures. The politicians, economists, and corporate executives will follow the money, just as they always have and GOD Bless.
So all of us can actually Be the Leaders!
